We watched in horror as we heard the news. A crazed gunman had smuggled firearms into a Vegas hotel and carried out his heinous crime on October first which left 58 dead and hundreds more injured. How did this happen? How could we not have known? The answer is that often times hotels and resorts are not properly equipped with enough security panic alarms for their facilities.

Let’s face it, the 2-0-6 has a lot going for it but also has a crime that is continuing to grow. Across the country, legislators from different cities are looking to combat this growing trend by mandating that an alarm panic system is installed in hotels and other residential properties. With tragedies like the shooting in Las Vegas and sexual assault cases that plague the headlines, an alarm panic system may just be the answer to give staff and guests the access they need to call for help.
