The Cornell S-112 Staff Station is an important component to assist in the communication between staff members and patients at hospitals, infirmaries, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities. The Cornell S-112 differentiates between emergency and normal calls. A normal call is indicated by a stable green LED light and a slow tone, but an emergency call has a flashing red LED light and a quick tone. The tone can be silenced by flipping the tone on/off switch on the Cornell S-112. A pull string is included with the S-112 for convenience when the switch may be unreachable.
The 4 ½ ”H x 4 ½ ”W stainless steel satin finish faceplate can be surface mounted on a Wiremold 5748 or equal, or flush mounted on a standard outlet with two gang rings. The Cornell S-112 requires power of 24 VDC, and the ideal environment is 50-120°F. The wiring required for the S-112 is a minimum of #22 AWG and maximum of #16 AWG. The field wiring terminations require screw clamps with a maximum of 16 gauge.
