The Cornell B-113 Bed Station is an important component of the 4000 Nurse Call System. When partnered with the B-113, the Cornell Bedside Station allows the option of push buttons to place and cancel calls. A red indicator light indicates that a call has been placed, and calls can be silenced at the point of origin by pressing the cancel button. The Cornell B-113 is ideal for assisted living facilities, surgery centers, and other medical buildings.
In addition to the B-113, the Cornell Bedside Station can also be furnished with one or two jacks (B-111 or B-122) to connect to Cornell call cords. If the cord plug is accidentally removed, a call is placed to the system’s annunciator panel.
The Cornell B-113 is constructed from stainless steel and finished in satin. A single gang ring outlet box or a single gang ring with a double ring box is required in order for the Cornell B-113 to be flush mounted. If surface mounting is desired instead, the Wiremold 5748 or equivalent is necessary. The ideal environment for the Cornell B-113 is between 50-120°F, and the wiring required is #22 AWG minimum. The Cornell B-113 also requires power of 24 VDC.
