What It Does
The UPVCDD is a non-contact sensor for elevators that helps to prevent the doors from hitting passengers or any object placed in their path. This innovative "Double Diode" technology works by using an advanced transmitter and receiver array, generating a highly dense network of infrared beams. In case any of these beams are interrupted, the UPVCDD immediately sends a message to the door operator to reverse the motion of the doors.
Technical Specifications
- The UPVCDD has an innovative UPVC profile with high-impact resistance and flame retardant properties.
- The product uses a unique "Double Diode" system that maximizes the amount of active detection areas.
- This device is universally compatible with virtually all elevator controllers and requires power input in the range of 11VDC to 30VDC.
Key Features & Advantages
- Increased Detection Density: Using a double diode array reduces the number of blind spots, thus enabling the detection of small obstacles that would go unnoticed by a single-beam system.
- High Corrosion Resistance: Thanks to its innovative UPVC profile, this product will never rust and can be installed in coastal or humid regions where ordinary aluminum edges would easily corrode.
- Compact Design: The slim design of the device allows installing the UPVCDD in the narrow gap between the elevator door and the return post.
- Contactless Functioning: As this system activates the reversal of the doors before any physical contact takes place, it increases the lifespan of the door operator and elevates passenger trust.
Common Uses
- This product is widely used during elevator refurbishments in hospitals, housing blocks, and other transit facilities.
