This is a software implementation "License to Expand" to add 4 additional (4) universal type CPU expansion slots to the chassis, instead of (4) I/O hardware expansion slots with specific expansion ports. When the basic system has reached capacity of existing customers, and extra hardware is required to introduce extra emergency phones, consoles or gateway interfaces, it is a no-brainer module that a company must have.
