The R4K4020 is typically located at a local nursing station, work station, centralized communications center, or any place where staff receives calls, communicates with staff or initiates any Responder 4000 related features. The console may be desk or wall mounted with the wall mount opening in the console legs or a separate R4KWM11. 

The R4K4020 provides complete information concerning incoming calls including patient or staff member’s room location, bed (if applicable), call priority, and length of time the call has been waiting. An operator may selectively answer any of three (3) calls displayed or scroll through a list using the keypad for call selection. A call may be answered using the handset for semi-private conversation or the Push-to-Talk key for a hands-free conversation.

The R4K4020 can be configured for up to twenty-four (24) functions including Setting/Review Service Requirements, Emergency Call Upgrade, Day/Night tones, Staff Follow, Sequential Room Monitor, Swinging Groups of Rooms, etc. These functions are activated using the scroll keypad and selector buttons. System functions are customized on an individual basis allowing each R4K4020 to be programmed for its specific location and purpose. The R4K4020 is continually supervised for both power and signal.
