The R5KDC46 provides the connection points for up tosix (6) room stations, 4 of which can contain audio. It istypically located where a corridor light is not needed ordesired. The domeless controller can be mounted in a wallcavity or ceiling outside of the resident room. Other corridorlights can be programmed to reflect calls placed on residentstations connected to the domeless controller. With theaddition of the Relay Output module, the R5KDC46 canprovide four (4) dry relay contact outputs to drive externaldevices.

The domeless controller will operate in a default fail-safemode if communication with the Main System Controller isinterrupted. It also contains a status LED visible to servicepersonnel to indicate the device status. The mounting plateaccommodates a variety of backboxes. The domelesscontroller is continuously supervised for both power anddata. A "Trouble" message will annunciate at the coveringconsole(s) if the controller is removed from the system orbecomes non-functional.
