DESCRIPTION

The R4KPIP serves as the Responder 4000 network direct data interface to a pocket paging encoder or PC used for system diagnostics and programming. An R4KSPA — Serial Peripheral Adapter comes with the R4KPIP to provide an isolating interface between outside systems and the Responder 4000 system. An R4KSPA is connected to R4KPIP via RS485 and can be located up to 1000 feet away for remote connection and programming. Each R4KPIP provides three (3) RJ45 jack connections, one (1) for pocket paging, one (1) for programming/ diagnostics, and one (1) for connection to an R4KSPA. When the R4KPIP is connected to R4KSPA for an in-house pocket page system, the R4KSPA will support the TAP 1.8 protocol standard.
