The R4KSS is a staff station typically located in a room or ona floor where staff members may be working. The station may alsobe used in patient areas such as day rooms or visitor’s lounges.Wherever call-in and two-way audio communication are desired,the station provides a call-in pushbutton in the audio-visualsystem. The staff or patients communicate through the station'sbuilt-in speaker/microphone. 

The staff station is connected to its associated corridor lightor domeless room controller and is continually supervised forstation presence. Through programming, a “Trouble” messagecan annunciate at the associated console(s) when the stationis removed from the system.
