The R4KSPA provides an isolating interface between outsidesystems and the Responder 4000 Network. It also has diagnosticand programming capabilities via a portable pc when connectedto the Responder 4000 Network. 

When used in conjunction with R4KPIP the R4KSPA providesone (1) RS-232 port for management software, pocket paging,or diagnostics/programming. The R4KSPA can be located up to1000' from R4KPIP for remote connection. 

When connected to R4KNIM or R4KPIP the R4KSPA servesas an isolating interface between the Responder network anda portable PC for programming/diagnostics. A technician canprogram all Responder network attributes such as architecturalroom numbers, customized console touchpoints, consolecoverage areas, etc. From the same application, the techniciancan download current Responder network configurations andaccess event logs or run component diagnostics to assist introubleshooting the Responder network. 

The Responder network software application (R4KWARE)requires as a minimum: Pentium II/400MHz computer with aCD-ROM drive, one (1) serial com port, 500 Mb hard disk spaceavailable, a monitor/display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels,256 Mb of RAM, and running Windows (98SE, NT 4.0, or XP).
