    Functionality

As the most critical point of connection, the Biscuit Jack & Resistor sub-assembly serves as the terminal point of hardware wiring from remote emergency stations to the distribution module. With this in mind, one can control lines using surface-mount biscuit jack; at the same time, inline resistor helps regulate current flows on the signaling loop. Due to the technical specifics of this device, it becomes easy to detect line continuations or disconnections immediately.

    Features/Benefits

Being absolutely compliant with the requirements defined by NFPA 72 standards, this device allows providing continuous 360-degree monitoring of the pathway due to stable line metrics. Moreover, the product offers the proper protection against moisture, as well as system extension capabilities. In case of necessity, this sub-assembly can be easily removed and repaired for reconnecting phones without damaging other components of the building.

    Common Applications

Usually, this sub-assembly is installed in multi-story buildings, parking lots, and larger campus sites where there is a need for continuous line monitoring. Also, it is possible to use this sub-assembly for establishing connection between elevator emergency lines and refuge area call stations and the control panel as part of the analog command center.
