Rath Communications 10 Zone IP POE Command Center as a master command control hub designed for emergency communications within any facility. Offered through the distributor BEC Integrated Solutions, the networkable communication solution supports up to ten separate communication stations or elevators. The unit uses a facility’s existing network system, eliminating the costs associated with hardwiring while maintaining all necessary compliance with the current IBC, NFPA, and ADAAG life safety code requirements.

Operation

Using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, the command center delivers efficient two-way voice communication between the rescue team and the person in danger. Upon activation of the emergency call box, the master station produces an audio alarm and activates the respective LED indicator to denote the exact location of the distress signal. An intelligent queuing software holds any extra incoming calls in a queue while delivering a status message to the waiting caller until the master line gets cleared.
