What It Does

The PANACHEDGE assembly can be a proactive safety portal. It has a dense light curtain consisting of 154 infrared sensors to detect obstructions in the 2D light curtain door path and 2D elevator landing an extra 3D detection field created from this array of infrared sensors. This 3D space detection technology is called “proximity” as it provides enough advance warning to the system of approaching passengers before they reach the front of the door to avoid contact between the passengers and the door. Safety continues to be improved by further moving with the edges fitted with patented red and green LED lights, where entering a section means that the doors light up green (doors begin to open); till passengers ease in, these LED lights are in red colors indicating the doors are about to close, helping to significantly reduce the damage to the door as a result of strikes.
