Rath - Avire P40+SC P40 Plus S/C is Rath Avire’s innovative protection system for elevator doors. It is a high-performance, robust and reliable control board that acts as the "brain" of the system. P40+SC was developed for the Pana 40 Plus series of products and seamlessly connects the infrared light curtains (ILC) to the Door Operator. It is a stable, intelligent interface that can detect 2D and 3D objects to ensure safe passenger transportation and efficient operation of the elevator.

In a rugged and compact housing, the P40+SC is protected from the harsh environments encountered in elevator machine rooms and hoistways. The accuracy of the connection enables an easy installation and troubleshooting process. The P40+SC is a perfect upgrade for new or improved elevators, providing code-compliant door surveillance.

What It Does

The safety edge controller on an elevator is the P40+SC System Controller. It takes the raw data from 40 diode infrared edges and converts it to specific commands for the elevator controller.

• Detecting/ Scanning Light Beam Detectors: Measures the changes in the light beams (up to 194 of them crossing each other) to see if there is something blocking the door, either a passenger or an object that has escaped the window.
• Voltage Regulating Device: This device takes the power from the source and converts it into the correct voltage (5VDC) for the detector edges to operate.
• Timing Logic: This logic will restart the operation of the doors after a predetermined amount of time (10 to 70 seconds) after an obstruction is cleared.
• The light curtains will have a logic function that will continuously check the state of operation of the light curtains. In the event that the light curtains have gone bad, the control module will be notified immediately so as to cause the system to be safe from damage.
