Rath - Avire P40+EDGE P40 Plus Edge Assembly is a high-performance replacement edge assembly that is specifically designed for the leading detection system of the Pana40 plus 2D door entry. This module utilizes a dense infrared light curtain as the main sensing component to protect the entrance of elevators. The P40 Plus Edge has been designed to provide superior performance and reliability while executing its primary function of enabling passengers and freight to pass through the opening of the doors of an elevator without danger of coming into contact with or being trapped in between the doors and the door opening.

Product Functions

The P40 Plus Edge Module will generate a sophisticated array of 40 parallel Infrared Beams (expandable up to 194 criss-crossed infrared beams depending upon controller setting) across the entrance of each elevator opening. Any interruption of the light curtain will cause the Module to transmit an immediate signal to the elevator controller to stop the closing doors and to open the doors. As opposed to mechanical sensing edges, which require contact with an object to stop the doors; the P40 Plus results in detection without physical contact and therefore, greatly reduces mechanical wear on the doors, as well as the possibility of injury to passengers.
