Rath P40+3D-PS - Life Safety System Backup Power for Sensor Continuity
Rath - Avire P40+3D-PS P40+3D Power Supply is an advanced, high voltage, high-performance power management module that supplies power to the Pana40 Plus 3D Advanced Elevator Door Detection Series. The 3D light curtain and dedicated power supply provide the means for the 3D curtain to be powered by 2D Infrared curtains and to be configured with proximity sensors.
The P40+3D-PS Safety Edge is designed for Industrial Safety and has clear safety edges in both wet and dry conditions while still performing at a high level under Extreme Usage. It will not be affected by the electrical interference and voltage fluctuations that are typical of elevator machine rooms and hoistways and will help maintain the protective barrier surrounding an on-site passenger area.

What It Does
The P40+3D-PS is used as the primary power source as well as the primary interface in 3-D detection systems. Converts the power within the building to the specified DC power needed by the 3D edges of the detector.
- Red lights are added to safeguard from possible misoperation.Red lights are added to provide a corresponding power up sequence for the normal Pana40+ light curtains and 3D infrared proximity detection.
- Interface Connectivity Module has dedicated connection ports with the elevator main door controller to connect the detection edges.
- Logic Processing: It will be responsible for a complex “3D” signal processing functions, enabling the differentiation of the signals between door movement and passenger entering the 3D landing zone.
- In addition, an elevator safety stop signal (SFO) is provided to communicate with the elevator cab; in the event that the SFO has encountered a safety area, the elevator cab will quickly reverse direction immediately after receiving the alarm.

Common Application
If passenger safety is paramount in elevator and lift systems, one which is proactive is essential and Rath Avire P40+3D-PS has to be part of the equation for high spec. systems. Takes most often:
- Problem: Preventing a collision between door and moving object in the busy lobbies of commercial buildings with high speed lifts is a challenge if a 3D detection of moving objects is required.
- Proactive: 3D protection field in the healthcare area to safeguard hospital beds, wheelchairs.
- Reliable door monitoring is needed at airports that have lots of capacity and are used a lot - ones with obviously high usage.
- Retrofits for Modernization: Installation of existing 2D safety edges to enhanced 3D safety system that has a high safety rating for a building.
