  • Rath LMX Line Monitor - Emergency Assistance Expansion Board for Code

Rath - Avire LMX Line Monitor Expansion is an advanced interface board, designed to expand emergency communication monitoring beyond multi-device situations. The LMX is set up to function in conjunction with the Line Monitor Alert (LMA) panel, and is a central point for diagnostics in a facility for which you need to monitor more than one line. With automated line integrity verification for continuous monitoring of elevator safety, the module allows elevator banks and emergency phone networks, among other large installations, to continue to meet high elevator safety standards.

    What the Product Does

The LMX is a low profile Ridge Multiplier of Line Monitoring Modules. Monitoring is provided by the standard LMA panel which is for the purpose of monitoring one line, or is an LMA module (LMX) which allows monitoring up to 10 other elevator phones or emergency devices to be monitored. It constantly scans for dial tone/signal on all the lines it is connected on and equips the LMA's central alarm in case of dial tone/signal loss, informing them the local name of the line where the failure was found on the local screen.

    • Easy testing: Also on board is the “Test/Reset” function allowing easy testing of the system – Check if the LMX communications are correct or not within the LMX or LMA panel.
    • Optically Isolated Circuits: High-quality isolation (predator) to protect the sensitive electrical circuits of the LMA panel and/or phones from potential electrical power surge(s) on the lines.

    Common Application

The Rath LMX can be used in high rise commercial buildings, large hospital complexes, university dorm complexes, etc. for multi-bank elevator projects, which are required in every such complex. It's normally used in elevator machine rooms or telecommunication closets to bring together monitoring of various emergency telephones. With the addition of BEC integrated solution's LMX module, the facility manager knows that his emergency infrastructure meets the latest building codes and supports a tidy network which can be quickly configured and troubleshot.
