The 2GIG XCVR3-GC3 is a 900 MHz transceiver and 345 MHz receivers for the 2GIG GC3, GC3e, and Edge. The GC3 and GC3e are already equipped with 345 MHz receivers to speak with the 2GIG Wireless Sensors like door contacts and motion sensors. Please power down the panel before installing.

The module replaces the receiver inside a GC3 Alarm Panel. The XCVR3 adds the ability for the GC3 to communicate with 900 MHz devices like the 2GIG IMAGE2 image sensor. Without this module the panel is not capable of the required bi-directional signaling. The module connects with the circuit board on the back of the panel. 

 The 2GIG GC3 wireless alarm control panel must have firmware revision 3.0.1 or newer. If you have an existing GC3 panel on firmware 3.0.0 (original version) it can be flash upgraded via USB or OTA (over the air via Alarm.com). The 2GIG XCVR3-GC3 also works with the 2GIG Edge so that the 2GIG IMAGE3 can enroll with the system. The 2GIG IMAGE3 is the only image sensor that works with the 2GIG Edge at this time. However, as of June 2021, the 2GIG Edge will only see the IMAGE3 as an ordinary motion sensor, and it will not transmit images to Alarm.com at this time. A fix for this issue is expected to be released sometime in the future. We do not have an ETA for the fix at this time. Adding this module to the 2GIG Edge will not affect the panel's ability to support 2GIG eSeries Encrypted Sensors
