The DX-COKIT Supervised Carbon Monoxide Detector Transmitter and Receiver Kit includes a single station DXS-80 carbon monoxide alarm with a built-in supervised transmitter and DXR-702 2-Channel Receiver. This kit is designed with an alarm warning in order to provide protection against carbon monoxide poisoning. The DXS-80 will sound a loud local alarm if carbon monoxide is detected. Digitally coded wireless signals will be sent every 10 seconds by the built-in transmitter to the DXR-702 receiver. The CO alarm will activate the receiver Channel 1 relay. The digital DXS transmitters are pre-coded in the factory so that no field coding is required. The DXR-702 receiver can be powered from a 11-17 VDC or 12-16 VAC power source. A nine-inch wire antenna fastens into the receiver's antenna connector. In order to get better radio range, a remote antenna (Model EXA-1000) can be attached to the receiver.
The DXS-80 includes a 3-volt lithium battery that has a life expectancy of up to 6 years. A low chirp will sound every 45 seconds when the battery becomes low, and a signal will be sent to the receiver as a warning as well which activates the receiver’s Channel 2 relay. After the battery runs out, the carbon monoxide detector element should be replaced.
NOTE: The DX-COKIT is not for use in UL Listed applications.
