    The 7A2010 and 7A2011 pillow speakers can be used only with a Dukane ProCare 2000 Patient Station equipped with a gray 17-pin entertainment connector. The patient can control entertainment functions through the pillow speaker. The pillow speaker is also used to place normal or assigned priority calls to the master station.

    The 7A2010 and 7A2011 pillow speakers share several features. Both pillow speaker models provide nurse call and basic TV controls except that the LEDs are not operative. In addition, when the call is answered at the master station, the red privacy LED lights on the 7A2010 and 7A2011 models. 

    Both pillow speaker models are provided with a bedsheet clamp that attaches to the patient’s bedsheet or another secure bed item to keep the pillow speaker within comfortable reach of the patient. An eight-foot, gray flexible cord assembly and a multi-pin plug connect the pillow speaker to the wall station

    1. Speaker

    This sensitive speaker provides entertainment audio. 

    Note: Communication between this station and the master takes place through the pillow speaker on stations equipped with a pillow speaker intercom. On stations not equipped with pillow speaker intercom, communication takes place through the station’s speaker/microphone. 

    2. Volume Control 

    Turn counter-clockwise to increase entertainment volume. Turn clockwise to decrease entertainment volume. 

    3. Nurse Call Pushbutton 

    Pressing the nurse call pushbutton places a call to the master station and lights the station call assurance LED the associated corridor and zone lights, and the associated LED indicator on the master station. The station call assurance LED remains on until the call is answered at the master station or canceled at the patient station. 

    4. TV Channel Pushbutton 

    This pushbutton is used to turn the TV on and to change TV channels. 

    5. Optional Control Pushbuttons (7A2011 only) 

    These pushbuttons operate optional control such as up light and down light or TV channel up and down. These features require special wiring. 

    6. Not used 

    This pushbutton is not used. 

    7. Ancillary Control (7A2011 only) 

    This pushbutton may be designated to control other ancillary equipment such as low voltage lighting. This feature requires special wiring. 

    8. Entertainment Option Connector 

    This multi-pin connector plugs into the gray entertainment receptacle on patient stations that have the entertainment option.
