What network requirements does the IP Command Center need?

IP Command Center will require only generic Ethernet network hardware with Power over Ethernet (PoE) level 802.3af capability. Your network switches must be PoE capable to provide power to call box locations, and the network must provide adequate bandwidth for VoIP calls. Most newer construction network hardware has no issue with supporting these requirements.

Can IP Command Center operate during internet outages?

Yes. The IP Command Center is on your internal network (LAN), not the internet. Call box to base station communication is preserved in the event of loss of internet connection, as long as the internal network is still intact. Battery backup power supplies ensure continued operation during electrical power failures.
