Rath - Avire 2500-COSPRVSR Co Line Supervisor is an essential safety module which can guarantee the integrity of an emergency communication line. Ornella's high performance line monitoring interface will monitor CO lines in real-time to alert against any potential safety hazards before a fault or outage can occur in the CO lines. The 2500-COSPRVSR is designed to be fit into an existing communication facility and is a vital component of protection for facilities where “clear path” has to be maintained which require an emergency call system to be on 100% of the time.

What It Does

The main function of the 2500-COSPRVSR is to be an automated “watchdog” for telephone lines. It continually tests the CO line voltage and continuity. If the line is not detected, if there is a short, or dial tone is lost, an alarm is generated at the local module level and optionally, an alarm can trigger secondary equipment to take some action to correct the condition and/or notify building personnel. It makes it possible to connect the service provider with the inside emergency stations and so prevents the "silent failure" situation – where everything is functioning on the inside emergency station but the line on the service provider is not available.
