The R5KPS1EA is an enhanced single bed station that provides voice communication to the nurse call system. It allows both residents and staff to place different call-in priorities to the assigned console(s). Entertainment audio through the pillow speaker is muted during nurse call. The bed station can interface with call cords and entertainment speakers to initiate calls, provide entertainment control, and allow intercom communication to the console over the station speaker. The station also provides an interface to a single lighting control module.

With the addition of the R4KFB1 Feature Bed Interface module, the station will provide nurse call and entertainment audio at the feature bed and pillow speaker.

The bed station is connected to its associated corridor light or domeless controller and is continuously supervised for station presence. If the call cord is removed from the station, a Cord Outcall is immediately annunciated on the covering console(s). In addition, a "Trouble" message will also annunciate at the covering console(s) if the station is removed from the system or becomes non-functional.
