The Power Supply provides 36V DC power for local Responder 5 system components including consoles, staff terminals, patient stations, corridor lights, Branch Regional Controllers, and Responder Ethernet switches. As a Responder 5 system grows, additional power supplies can be added when needed (refer to power calculation work- sheets to determine proper number of Power Supplies). Battery Backup is contained within the Power Supply to support emergency backup power for up to four (4) minutes.

This energy efficient power supply reduces power con- sumption and heat output in line with future “Green” initiatives.
