The Model DXS-32 Supervised Miniature Door/Window Transmitter is a battery powered stationary transmitter designed for use with Linear’s DXS and DX format receivers. When installed, the magnet is typically attached to the door or window, and the transmitter to the frame. If the magnet is separated from the transmitter by merely ½” while it is activated, the transmitter sends an alarm. If the magnet returns to the transmitter, it sends out a restore signal. The internal jumper will typically select an instant or delayed transmission code. This jumper does not delay the actual transmissions, but changes the code of the signal sent so that the receiver can process the signal as coming from an entry/exit delay transmitter.

The transmitters are equipped with two self-contained type 2032 3-volt lithium batteries with life expectancies of up to four years (included). They are supervised for low battery, and send status reports every hour. The digital DXS transmitters are pre-coded in the factory so that no field coding is required, and the DXS code format is equipped with more than a million possible codes.
