Cornell Wireless Nurse Call

For years, wireless nurse call system manufacturers such as Cornell rebranded and reprogrammed Inovonics FA transmitters and other FA devices to support their systems. But over time, Inovonics switched to a new eco stream platform, leaving many healthcare facilities with very limited options for replacing parts or expanding their nurse call system. Many facilities simply trying to replace parts or build onto their existing systems are being told that they need to purchase brand new nurse call systems. This has ultimately led to spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to purchase new equipment just to gain the ability to expand their nurse call system. If you are one of those facilities looking for an answer to this problem after purchasing a system through Cornell, we at BEC Integrated Solutions have the cost-effective answer for your wireless nurse call system needs.

Which Cornell Nurse Call Components Need to be Upgraded?

In order to add new devices to your FA system while still utilizing the old components, facilities will need to purchase a new Inovonics compatible PC Nurse Console and monitor. This console includes software that allows the old FA devices/systems to connect and function properly with the new nurse call console. Our console comes preprogrammed to work with most of your existing FA devices from Cornell for no additional charge, and ultimately allows you to expand your system without replacing every single device.

Healthcare facilities will also need to install a series of new repeaters throughout the building(s) while continuing to utilize the existing repeaters currently in place. These new repeaters should be installed 5 feet from existing repeaters to help both the old and new wireless transmitters work on the same system. This process works with many of Cornell's devices.

At BEC Integrated Solutions, we work hard to ensure that our products and systems enhance the care at your facility. We provide solutions that save healthcare facilities time and money by utilizing existing technology while ensuring the flexibility to expand. Rather than giving up on your old system, simply purchase the few necessary components that will allow your existing FA devices from Cornell to be compatible with new wireless nurse call system technology.
